Week seven share

The continued heat is really having an impact on the garden. We have recorded a top soil temperature of around 130 degrees. To say that's hot is an understatement. The leafy vegetables are suffering serious heat stress. The lettuce is done, and the squash and corn are also failures. The summer vegtables are doing much better. We will be praying for rain.....

  • Potatoes (make a herbed potato salad, minus the mayo.)
  • Carrots (these are smaller and full of flavor)
  • Beets/greens (these were pulled a little early, so should be nice and tender)
  • Green onions
  • Herbs (basil/parsley)
  • Zucchini (we made zuke parm the other night and it was perfect)
  • Bell Peppers (perfect cooked or raw)
