Week eight share

How time flies when your having fun.......We cant believe that July is nearing an end and fall is right around the corner......We have a nice selection this week, below are the specifics.

  • Eggplant (Ping Tung & Fairy Tale, we like these small eggplants the best. eggplants like the smoky flavor imparted by the grill.)
  • Loose Leaf Lettuce (salad bowl & red sails)
  • Zucchini ( we eat loads of this veg.....we grill it & toss with mint and garlic for a nice side, shred it for breads, & eat raw in salads.)
  • French Breakfast Radish ( these were grown in the heat so they are a bit spicier than a spring radish)
  • Collards (Mild and sweet, high in iron, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, and vitamins A, B, C. We prefer to cut the middle rib out before cooking, they can be a bit "woody").
  • Carrots (Parisienne heirloom, nothing quite like a fresh carrot, sky's the limit with carrots, raw, roasted, juiced, shredded in breads)
  • Herbs(Basil, Cilantro, Parsley, Sage)
  • Cucumber (sliced up with radish and tossed with lemon juice & oil and a little cilantro or parsley is the perfect side dish)
