Week four share

The summer heat appears to be heading our way, which is a good thing for our summer crops such as Zucchini, Cucumbers, Peppers, and Tomatoes. This weeks share specifics are as follows:
  • Tah Tsai Spinach Mustard (Glossy spoon shaped leaves are a treat in salads raw, stir fries, or steamed).
  • Kongo Kohlrabi (Sweet and tender, enjoy raw or cooked. We peel the outer skin off first, then boil till tender, toss with fresh herbs, lemon juice, and a drizzle of oil and enjoy).
  • Flash Collard Greens (Mild and sweet, high in iron, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, and vitamins A, B, C. We prefer to cut the middle rib out before cooking, they can be a bit "woody").
  • Loose leaf lettuce (red sails and salad bowl)
  • Herbs (basil/cilantro/parsley....mix them all together with some garlic and oil and blend for an awesome marinade for meats or vegetables).
